Last night a winter storm moved in quick and we woke up this morning knowing we weren't going anywhere today. Six-ish inches of snow landed on top of some freezing rain making roads treacherous. I was up at 4:45am, planning to teach my Spinning class, which was cancelled when school was cancelled for the day at 5am. The girls slept in a bit, then we went about our day. John and I worked from home while the girls enjoyed a lazy day.
Amelia watches some Judy Moody on her iTouch at the table...
Then Amelia and John took the baby safety latches off our cabinets in the living room... well, actually Amelia did it. Really. Which tells you why it was way past time to get those latches off our cabinets.
All the while Ava watched back to back movies in her room on John's iPad, tucked in her nest, channeling her big sister Meghan.
The snow stopped, neighborhood kids converged on our house, there was sledding and eating and playing. I love a good snow day.
And by the way, make this Honey Beer Bread immediately. And add cup of sharp cheddar cheese. It will take you about 3 minutes to prepare and it is so. good. And it makes awesome ham sandwiches. This loaf lasted about 2.1 days at our house....
