Overheard

Tonight John had a work obligation so it was just me and the girls. In an attempt to keep things simple I made noodles and peas with butter and parmesan cheese for the girls (a favorite standby for them) and a caprese salad for me.  While I was pulling dinner together I asked Ava to go to the garden and pick some basil for me...  her response:

"Sure mama.  Would you like lemon basil or just plain?"
