Day to day so much happens. Like everyone we are so busy juggling our lives that the small stuff can get away from us so quickly. This week Ava lost her second tooth. This time at school, so her very sweet teacher wrote up a little certificate and kept her tooth in an envelope for us. The tooth fairy visited and we officially have a big kid with noticeable gaps in her smile. She seems so big all of the sudden with her missing teeth and outgrown clothes.
When I was pregnant with Ava John was reading a book with a boat named the Patito, Spanish for little duck. He started calling the baby Patito and it stuck, much to the dismay of my Spanish speaking friends who remind me the feminine version of little duck in Spanish is patitA. Valentine's day we had a full house. Meghan's boyfriend was traveling, Lane's girlfriend was working, so John cooked all his loved ones a great meal. It was a very nice way to celebrate the day. Lane and Amelia cuddled up in the chair to read a book while they were waiting for dinner....
And this is just Amelia being particularly cute, stuffing herself in to her lego bucket....

Matt's going to be so jealous to hear that Ava has now lost a 2nd tooth!! They grow up too fast.
