Our family had a very fun get away Saturday. My office had an outing (no work, just fun) at Honey Creek Resort, about an hour South of our house. The resort is owned by the state and very committed to preserving the environment around Lake Rathbun. The main attraction for the Moorlach girls was certainly the water park, but there are also hiking trails, lake activities and a beautiful golf course that would be very nice in the summer time.
We stayed in the hotel, but there are cabins for rent at very reasonable rates. We'll definitely head back when the weather warms up!
