Amelia has taken to Kindergarten quickly and with great enthusiasm. She loves her teacher, her classroom friends.... but mostly I think she likes being a big kid just like her big sister. The girls school does project based learning, which means they spend six weeks or so studying a specific topic. At the end of the six weeks they have a culminating event where they present on what they've learned to their classmates and families. It is always so impressive to me to see the kids take charge of the presentations. We've had the benefit of watching Ava do this for several years, to see their presentations grow.
Yesterday was Amelia's first culminating event. She can be a little bit shy in new settings and I wondered how she would do standing in front of a crowd, holding a microphone and presenting. She was fantastic. Here she is, presenting what she learned about pollination of apples....
