Ava got the notice that lessons for band and orchestra instruments would be available to 4th graders during the first week of school. Thus began a relentless campaign.... She told us had to, had to, had to play the cello. Lessons started two weeks ago and I will say I am impressed with the commitment she's shown in the last two weeks.
The expectation is that students practice 15 minutes per day. Ava does her 15 minutes without complaint and with little reminding from me. On the occasional day she has missed she makes up the time. The sounds coming out of the cello.... well.... that's what practice is for, right? Probably the best part is how much it freaks the dog out!
