For more than a year Amelia has been asking to take baton classes. Her good friend and neighbor, Selena takes baton and it has really captured Amelia's attention. And for the last year we didn't meet the request - mostly because the only nearby studio that offers classes is still 20 minutes away in Norwalk. And the classes are at 4:30pm - I swear the middle of the night might be easier than 4:30pm.
But this year a couple of instructors from the Norwalk studio are offering classes here in town. Amelia was be.side.her.self. to get signed up for baton. Her first class was last week and she has been twirling that baton relentlessly ever since. She is still taking ballet and tap, and now... baton.
Here she puts on a little show for her American Girl dolls. It is really fun to see something capture her attention like the baton has.... for this week at least!

Too cute! Two of my best girlfriends from college were majorettes at some point in high school and showed me some of their twirling magic!
