Here we are entering that sweet spot of Spring/Summer where the weather is warming up, but not scorching. It has been so nice to be outside, to see green grass and leaves on trees. Despite the allergies we are all soaking up this time of year.
Last weekend John and I had a date night at the Iowa Cubs baseball game. A physician I work with owns a partial share of the Iowa Cubs and he offered us his tickets to the game - awesome seats right behind home plate. It was a lovely, slightly cool spring evening to eat crummy ballpark food, drink a beer and watch the ball game. Oh, and actually finish some conversations without interruption from the littles.

Amelia has been in a TOOT about family bike rides this Spring. It is fun that both girls are old enough and strong enough to bike. I was a bit nervous after breaking my elbow last summer in a clumsy, slowing moving bicycle accident. But it was certainly time to ride again and getting back on my bike for short, easy rides with the girls is a good way to ease back in.... Yesterday we drove up to Gray's Lake to meet my friend Nicole, her husband Josh and niece Tawnie for a bike ride and some dinner. We rode around the lake, then biked to Mullet's for some dinner. We sat outside on the roof top deck, enjoying bar food and beer on a gorgeous evening.
With my sweet girls....
