This weekend we set off for our third visit to our adopted state of Minnesota so we could visit some of our favorite people and I could race the YWCA Triathlon. We crammed a lot into a short weekend, but had a ball in the process.
Saturday afternoon, after packet pick-up, John and Brian headed out for a round of golf while Hilary and I took the younger kids to the Heart of the City park. What a wonderful spot - shallow water, water falls, fountains and a Subway nearby. The kids romped in the water for nearly two hours, breaking only to eat some sandwiches.

Sunday was the triathlon - you can read all the details here, but the short version is that I trimmed 17 mins off last year's time, smashing my PR and learned a lot in the process.
