If you look carefully at this picture you will see Amelia is now sporting some pierced ears. We didn't let Ava get her ears pierced until she was 9... It will not be shocking to learn that Amelia has been on us about getting her ears pierced for about 6 months. She's been asking for opportunities to prove she is responsible enough to take care of them, she's been pointing out all the girls her age who have their ears pierced.... I was ok with it, John thought she was too!young!
But this weekend, for her 7th birthday, she wore her dad down and today we went to Clare's, where she picked out her birthstone earrings, bravely hugged a teddy bear, and only shed a few tears when the earrings went in. I must say, she looks adorable and she is thrilled.
