This week, Lane scored a "2" on a par "4." In golf short-hand, that's called an Eagle, a very rare occurrence in Moorlach golfing history.
After a solid 270-yard drive on Deer Run's 355-yard 10th hole, Lane hit a knock down 9-iron the last 80 or so yards to a blind green. When we approached only my (Dad's) ball sat on the green. Lane's was tucked two inches below, nestled against the flag stick.
We are enjoying having Lane around this summer after his first year at Iowa State. You can find Lane most days chopping, organizing and packaging protein behind the Hy-Vee meat counter. If you are in town, Lane is always up for some golf!

Congrats, Lane! Brian is jealous and disappointed that he's not getting in as much golf as he'd like.
