She's helpful like that...

Last Fall we moved Ava and Amelia into the same room in an attempt to resolve Amelia's sleep woes... The girls seems to really like the sleeping arrangement and Amelia started sleeping through the night (much to the relief of her tired parents) as a result.

The other day John and I were talking with Ava about sharing a room with her sister. Ava was chattering and chattering about how much she loves her sister, how much she likes to share. Then she stops and says, "sometimes I get up and tickle Amelia's toes just to make sure she's not fake sleeping. She's not."
