Ava goes to school in a year round program, so her summer break is short. She'll start first grade in just a little over a week. Even with a six week break we've watched her change and grow so much this summer.
Ava spent a week with Brian and Hilary's family at the top of the summer and came back more confident, more independent. And on our vacation we watched her embrace all kinds of new activities. Ava went bouldering, canoeing and down the Alpine slide. Four times. In the pool she let go and let John teach her how to swim, showing real confidence. It is remarkable. Next step - teaching her to ride her bike!
