The funny thing about blogging is that I sometimes sort of plan posts before they happen. Not specifically, of course, but yesterday I was thinking to myself, "oh, the girls will be so pretty in their Easter dresses, there will be a lot of great photo opportunities, it will be a really good day...." and I was thinking there would be a lot of blogging material. And there was, but it was also one of those days where we tried to do to much, didn't accomplish 1/2 of the items on our "to do" list and snapped at each other unnecessarily. Do you blog that too?
As you know, for our 10 year wedding anniversary we ordered a new table to mark the occasion. We have put off for nearly 6 months ordered new chairs to go with the table and this week finally pulled the trigger. We ordered these chairs from Crate and Barrel, they were delivered quickly and naturally we immediately wondered what took us so long? They are beautiful with our table, that we love.

Beloved Orbit has been with our family a little more than a week and I am surprisingly attached to this sweet puppy. Friday morning I left home before John and when it was time for him to go to work he couldn't find Orbit anywhere. He called me twice, we fretted that he had been puppy-napped (because he can't get down the stairs by himself so there's really no way for him to get outside) and I spent the morning at work feeling sick to my stomach. Papa Ray and Grandma Jo saved everyone's sanity by checking on him (and finding him!) an hour or so later. He was hiding out because he doesn't like to be put away when we are gone during the day. Phew....
Here's sweet Orbit in one of his favorite spots.... loving the home day.
Ava and Amelia in their beautiful Easter dresses, posing at Papa Ray and Grandma Jo's before lunch. Oh, and we pushed Amelia past her naptime and she was pretty much a nightmare the whole time we were at my folks.

When we got home from lunch, randomly, there was a large Easter bunny on our street. Hmmm.... the camera was in my purse and this is about as close as Amelia would get to the random bunny.
Our friend and neighbor Molly had the idea to have a small neighborhood Easter egg hunt. It was a great idea and went surprisingly smoothly. Four families showed up with eggs, we hid them obviously in a couple of front yards and the kids LOVED it.
And they're off....
Amelia with her bounty.....
And here it is, my favorite moment of the day. While I was circling with the camera my girls happened upon a stash of eggs. And shared them with each other with absolutely no prompting from me.

That is a priceless picture of them sharing the eggs. Love their dresses, too. Very sweet!
